My favourite Golda Meir quote is "Let me tell you something that we Israelis have against Moses. He took us 40 years through the desert in order to bring us to the one spot in the Middle East that has no oil!." When I mentioned this in a blog many years ago there were a few raised eyebrows. Why would a fan of Marxist analysis quote Golda Meir, of all people? More here.
