The US will not engage in Durban II conference
There's a new conference slated for Durban. Will Russia be attending, is China planning on being there?
Durban II would be certainly be one of the conferences that I would attend, if I had the opportunity. I don’t know why some countries are so averse to a bit of bar room discourse with some of the more openly racist and opportunist of politicians.
The USA, Israel and EU should attend, and address the issues head-on, and if necessary kick-up an almighty debate over the selective discrimination and the political games. If Spain drops out I will writing a letter of protest to my President.
The countries that presently refuse to attend are showing a immature and anti-democratic precedent. They should show up and tell people they are wrong to their faces, again, that’s what I would do. Go there and put these "this that and the next thing are racism" spinners in their place. Many of these recondite anti-Semitic opportunists can easily be put in their place using reason, logic and common decency. Or are the boycotters really on such uncertain ground themselves that they feel they might be embarrased by their own nudity?
Just say no to racism and anti-Semitism at the UN!
